Why view CSC Assignments in IFAS - These assignments impact Actuals - if someone in your group is assigned incorrectly the CSC allocation may be incorrect.
NOTE - assignments in IFAS impact how CSC rates are applied to actuals. These are separate from CSC Rates in FAB / UI.
IFAS CSC Assignments
To See IFAS Current CSC Assignments, see the CSC Designation Report. From the IFAS Dashboard, this report can be run from :
- - Admin Reports Tab on the Home Page
- - All Reports Tab > Reports > UCAR Reports > Utility > CSC Designation Report
- - CSC Allocation Tab (for groups with CSC Rates)
- Enter Today’s Date
- Enter your Home Org Code, such as *RAL*, *JOSS*… to see all folks in your group and their current CSC Designation
(The Home Org Code for your Lab, Division or Program provides all staff in your group with their current CSC Group/Rate - this helps find folks whom IFAS will charge incorrectly.
CSC Support Division applies to the CSC Assignment and provides only those folks assigned to your CSC Group / Rate, it may help identify other group's staff on your rate, but within your group it does not help identify staff who are assigned to another rate.)
- Press Submit
* CSC Support Selection * shows only employees assigned to a specific CSC. For instance "17" shows all staff assigned to RAL CSC, both within RAL and from other groups. Both those who may be correct or folks who moved from RAL to another group and need to be changed to a new CSC Group. (This shows only staff with RAL CSC, it shows staff from other groups assigned to your CSC, it will not show folks you need to fix within your group.)
* Home Organization Code Selection * shows all employees in their home division. For instance *RAL* employees shows all RAL staff and their assigned CSC code, so the ones that are not "17" incorrect stand out. (This shows people in your group who may not be assigned correctly to your CSC, it will not show folks who are not in the selected group.) This allows you to search by Lab, Division, Group....
The resulting report shows the actual assignments used in IFAS for calculating CSC costs. In some cases these may not match and may or may not be correct.
