Plan Employee Salaries: Reclassifications

To plan a salary increase due to a reclassification

1. Select the Plan Employee Salaries - Data entry grid from the Salary Planning menu.

2. Select the employee you want to plan the reclass for and click "Add Row Copy"

You may also Right click on the row.

Note that a copy of the previous row appears.

3. Change the end date of the current record to reflect the last day of the employee’s reclassification. Note when you edit the field the NEXT record will turn red indicating the end date of the current record and the begin date of the next record are not contiguous. Make sure that you are editing the Next (and not the Current) employee record.

4. As you are editing the next record, you may also receive a warning that the begin and end dates of the positions are overlapping.

5. Change the end date of the new position as needed.

6. Enter the new position code by clicking on the Position Code field and typing the first few letters of the position you want to assign to the employee.

7.  Click Save.
