Salary planning is achieved through use of the following grids and features:
Data Entry Grids:
- Plan Employee Salaries: Plan reclassifications and salary changes expected during the planning period. The current record is primed from iVantage current position and salaries at the beginning of each fiscal year. Planners may also choose to copy the Current Record from the Incurred Actual scenario at any given time during the year. See Scenario copy feature (TBD).
- Employee Assumptions: Plan employee percent worktime and CSC division
- Employee Account Allocation %: Plan employee assignments to account keys (employee, account key, %, begin date, end date)
- Employee Account Allocation - Hours by Quarter: An alternative method to plan employee account key assignments (employee, account key, hours, quarters
Reporting Grids:
- Division Assumptions: CSC rates by division as defined in the IFAS/Bi-Tech system.
- Employee Projections Annual: calculated results by employee and account key from planning information entered in the Data Entry grids - by year.
- Employee Projections Quarterly*: calculated results by employee and account key from planning information entered in the Data Entry grids - by quarter with totals for the year.
- Employee Plan vs Forecast Hours*: shows planned and forecasted hours by quarter an a variance.
Placeholders
- Placeholder Accounts: add placeholder accounts for future projects
- Placeholder Employees: add placeholder employees for expected new hires and/or replacements.
Notes:
- Through use of the dimension selector, reports for multiple years and months can be viewed for multi-year planning. There are limitations to this depending on what grid you are in.
- *Changing the time dimension in the hourly reporting grids is not recommended without assistance from IT or a super user.
- It is recommended to use the Forecast Scenario which replaces planned data for historical months with actuals to-date.
